It always good to get news from home. That's what i thought as i watched Deutsche Welle this morning. Watched is infact not the proper word, because it's just running on the Tellie while i'm trying to log in to my blog to tell you people more about my interesting daily life here. But in the morning it seems to be impossible to get internet online. After 7 am nothing works anymore and as frustrated i am, i start to do the dishes and hopes the site has opened when i'm finished an hour later, so i can log in, and do the laundry. Well, it's not, and now i think the reason why is, that everyone here in mega big Hong Kong, accesses their internet after 7 am, which again means maybe 5 million people at the time. Ok, back to Deutsche Welle. The "German Wave", called: "DW-TV" here, has turned out to be one of my favorite programs here in Hong Kong. for the first they make very good and serious TV and for the second, i can keep up with my german language and later see the same programs and reports in English. Exactly this very morning in DW-TV's European Magazine- "Euromaxx"- they brought a report about a very successfully youth magazine from the Eastern of Germany, which had now conquered West Germany as well. It has become even bigger than the famous Bravo Magazine. I was astonished. Here i'm sitting in Tai Wan village, Hong Kong, and see people i have seen and to whom i've said hallo in Medienkulturhaus in Dresden, now i see and hear about them on world wide TV. Yes, it was the "Spiesser" Magazine from Dresden. Okay, i'm not saying anything more about this, only that i felt a little betrayed about this news. For the world it might be something new and interessting, but they should also tell about the horrid methods of this Magazine and about how the the creators exploit their young voluntary workers. So in fact, it is not always good to get news from back home, and DW-TV does not always broadcast truth worthy reports, but anyway - thats Television, isn't it.
