Mums Hong Kong diary #2
We left Edinburgh on Friday the 3rd of Oct and took a BA flight to Heathrow. After a long wait we boarded the Cathy Pacific and then had a very good flight although it did take 12 Hours. Saturday the 4th of Oct we arrived in Hong Kong we filled in a form to enter the country. I think I filled in the wrong one but the guy said, “I will sort it, you can go.” Catriona and Jørgen came to meet us, they got delayed so we were relieved to see them arrive. We caught the A 41 bus to Ma On Shan then a taxi home .We relaxed on the roof top with drinks looking across the lovely bay of Sai Kung. Later we walked to Sai Kung. I noticed one cultural difference right away. There were so many people with dogs dressed in clothes, some wearing trendy sunglasses (yes, I do mean the dogs.) These dogs are often pushed along in special dog push chairs. Also we have seen a shop selling pet accessories ‘Life style for Pets.” We had a seafood meal and fried rice in a restaurant, then to the welcome supermarket and a taxi home. Ricky and Jørgen went for drinks in the drinking Den, the small pub is down the hill on the exit from the house so you can’t miss it.
