Trujillo to Jerez De Los Caballeros.
Trujillo was a real pleasure and the hotel Santa Marta was one of the hotel highlights this year. It was build into one of the old palacios just at the central Plaza Mayor.
Next stop was another smaller town in the south of Extremadura, Jerez De Los Caballeros. Like so many other of the Spanish towns, this one was also filled with churches and palacios from past centuries, but where Trujillo was more medieval, Jerez De Los Caballeros seemed more baroque and had an atmosphere and structure like the ["pueblo Blancos](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pueblo_blanco)" (white villages) known from Andalucia. But as Trujillo, this place did also foster some of the great Spanish conquistadors.
Narrow roads and white houses. Nearly no one on the street in the afternoon heat. But in the evening it got very lively.
The view out in the landscape of Extremadura from the town.
