Greasy & busy!

The Original Pantry. According to the doorman at our hotel, this place is a LA institution in breakfasts. It is extremely busy and at first we were standing in line to wait to get in. Finally inside, the imagination of a real American diner came true. Coffee was served in two mugs as we sat down. There were no menus, only boards on the wall with the few breakfast items they served, but as it came it was extensive and good. Loads of potatoes, pancakes, huge thick ham and eggs and what have you. Greasy, yes. But certainly worth it, so if in LA, don't miss breakfast at the Original Pantry, on 9th street down town. It is even mentioned at the exits at the metro centre on 7th street.
