Dark clouds over the city.

it was my motherinlaw who brought it to the point, when she came here the first time. She said; " here you go inside in the cold".

Quite opposite Northern Europe where we are from. I show you a picture of the actual sky above Hong Kong, and I bet you will say that it looks like Scotland and  Denmark. And that is true, it does on a picture. But here it is just still 28 to 30 some degrees and a humidity that leaves you flat - and wet.

It is the wet season, and wet it is, and you are.

In a matter of minutes the sky turn black and out in the horizon you see it coming, the wall of water. Basically you can count on it and estimate your route to a covered area or a shop. If you are out in the free, just hope you have an umbrella or you will just get soaked.

Should that happen, no need to despair, as you are not going to get cold for real, it is too hot for that. You just wait for the next spell of sun and wait it out.

Hong Kong island through the Macau ferry window. It looks cold and wet. Wet it is, but cold?

If you should happen to read this and are planning to visit Hong Kong, come in autumn, after the hot wet season. It will still be hot, but in the way you know from the best of a Northern European summer, and that from September until Christmas.
