Woke up early on 2nd july for the long drive to Bandon from Napa. Travelling with backpacks seems to be an unusual thing here as we were asked if we were on a special adventure holiday by the woman at the front desk. Havent seen anyone else with luggage like ours this holiday.

Woke up early on 2nd july for the long drive to Bandon from Napa. Travelling with backpacks seems to be an unusual thing here as we were asked if we were on a special adventure holiday by the woman at the front desk. Havent seen anyone else with luggage like ours this holiday.
Stopped at JimTown for breakfast . 2 baked egg/ham/bacon sandwiches, a piece of apple pumpkin bread and 2 coffees=21 US dollars
Cute little antique/ gift shop / cafe with free wifi.

3 hours into our trip 130 miles south of Eureka we are driving on road US 101 sidelined with towering redwood trees. The sky is blue and cloudless. The landscape has now changed from yellow grass and vineyards to small hills and redwood trees.
Cannot find any decent music on the car radio no matter how much knob twiddling and fiddling! Jørgen's hair looks like a poodle now he has been resting his head on the back of the seat while driving.
Landscape changing again back to yellow grass.
