The huge Redwood trees.
In northern California we crossed some of the national parks with the huge Redwood trees. The drive was so long though, so we didn't find the time to go and have a little look at those majestic trees, could only get a little impression by passing them on the road and see them in comparison with cars and trucks on the road. Theese are some of the smaller ones.
Breakfast on the road.
Heading north from Napa towards Oregon and the wee town Bandon at the coast. Left the hotel early in the morning without breakfast. Now after one hour we found this little funny combined dinner and store
Called Jimstown in Heraldsburg. They do some nice sandwiches, so good morning to everyone.

The cable car line was openend in August 1873 but began regular operation in September the same year.
Road movie
Buildings have been replaced by countryside and cows. A nice feeling to be on the road through California.

Done with the cities for now, now the road movie will begin and the first leg, is a short one. From SF to the California wine district called Napa. We will cross the golden gate bridge and then it is about an hour drive north east.

Neo Rauch @ SFMOMA.
On of my favourite artists, German Neo Rauch is also present at SFMOMA. This is the painting called "Übergang" from 2003.
Live from SFMOMA.
This isn't a painting or a photography from he collection, it is the view from the top roof level of the gallery towards Union Square.
007 @ GGB
Finally here at this San Francisco icon. Later we will cross it by car when our road trip begins and we head up to Oregon and Washington State. Life is such a bitch!
